Super Cuffs
I’m a huge fan of leather cuffs, the smell, feel and resistance that they provided. Unfortunately, there are some negatives and don’t appeal to everyone. Super Cuffs fills in perfectly, they are made of neoprene and offer a perfect solution to some of the negatives. That is one of the reason why when I saw them at Babeland, I knew I had to try them and luckily enough, before I knew it, I was waiting eagerly for them in the mail.
The cuffs come packaged with directions, which was the first thing I found appealing. It gives you easy step by step direction on how to connect them together or allows you to separate them and use them individually. The cuffs are made out of neoprene and prove to be comfortable. I’ve used a variety of leather cuffs, including the fur or fabric lined one and these ones are the most comfortable to date. Since my partner would be the first one to test them out on me, his opinion on the cuffs were, “leather cuffs are sexy, but suffer from the problem of only adjusting in increments. Depending on the bottom’s wrist size, leather cuffs may not have a setting between “too easy to get out off” and “too tight to wear.” These neoprene cuffs solve that problem by being infinitely adjustable (a good quality in both kink toys and kink partners…) thanks to their Velcro.”
I found the Super Cuffs to be comfortable and allowed me to stay in positions that I couldn’t with traditional cuffs or to extend play in others. One example is when I was testing them out, I was on my back, hands bound behind my back and placing the majority of weight on them. I was able to stay in this position for over an hour where normally it would of been limited to 15 minutes at the most. The cuffs fit perfectly and adjusted to fit on my ankles as well. I tested them out on a couple of my friends of various shapes and due to the Velcro they can accommodate a variety of sizes. They are 2 inches wide and can go up to 13″ in diameter.
In terms of cleaning, PG mentioned that , “one suggestion: if you sweat in these cuffs—and, if your Top is doing things right, you should be—regularly wash in them in gentle soap, rinse them well and air dry them to prevent that wetsuit-like odour from building up.” I’ve washed them a couple of times and it has no affect over the quality of them, just be sure to be gentle with them. One helpful hint to watch out for, if the person wearing the cuffs is not tied down and have their arms free to rub against you, watch out as the Velcro can leave scratch marks on the other person. It’s up to you if that’s a good thing or a bad thing.s
The Super Cuffs are a bondage lovers dream. They allowed me to struggle, be bonded and yet comfortable enough to not interrupt my play session. They aren’t the most stylish cuffs out there but they are a gem in my toy box and hopefully yours. Who doesn’t want their play sessions to last as long as possible?
